Appalogue/Terms

Terms of Service

Plain language, no fine print buried at the bottom. These terms govern your use of bimi and other Appalogue, LLC software.

Last updated: 2026-06-27 · Effective immediately on this page

1. Acceptance

By installing or using bimi, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't install or use the app. We may update these terms — the latest version always lives at appalogue.com/terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.

2. License to use

Appalogue, LLC grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use bimi on devices you own or control, for your own purposes. You may not resell, sublicense, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the app. Mac App Store distribution is also subject to Apple Media Services terms.

3. Your data and privacy

bimi is local-first: your conversations, memories, and signals stay on your device. The full handling is described in our Privacy posture, which forms part of these terms. When you choose a cloud model provider (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic), the prompts for those turns are also subject to that provider's terms — bimi names the provider and asks for explicit consent before any data is sent to them.

4. Subscriptions and billing

bimi offers a free plan and optional paid plans (bimi+ monthly and annual subscriptions; lifetime purchase). Subscriptions are billed through the App Store / your Apple ID and are subject to Apple's standard subscription and refund policies. Cancellations are handled in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your Mac. You can restore prior purchases from the Settings → Account screen.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use bimi to: violate any law; generate or distribute illegal content; impersonate another person; build a competing product by scraping its outputs; or operate it on behalf of a third party without their consent. If a cloud provider connected via bimi has its own usage policy, you agree to follow that too.

6. Disclaimers

bimi is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. It is an assistant that can make mistakes; you are responsible for reviewing its output and authorizing actions that change state, send messages, or move money. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Appalogue, LLC disclaims liability for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

7. Termination

You can stop using bimi any time — uninstalling the app fully ends your license. We may suspend access if these terms are violated. Termination does not refund subscription periods already paid for; cancel via Apple to stop future billing.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Broward County, Florida.
